Pizza is a savory dish of Italian origin consisting of a usually round, flattened base of leavened wheat-based dough topped with tomatoes, cheese, and often various other ingredients which is then baked at a high temperature, traditionally in a wood-fired oven. You can add any topings you like or remove the ones you don’t. Pizza is totally customisable.

RECIPE:

INGREDIENTS:

FOR BASE:

  1. Maida/whole flour.
  2. Yeast.
  3. Sugar.
  4. Oil.
  5. Salt.

FOR SAUCE:

  1. Blanched Tomatoes.
  2. Garlic.
  3. Onions (optional).
  4. Salt.
  5. Oregano/Chilli flakes/black pepper.
  6. Tomato ketchup.

FOR TOPPINGS:

  1. Mozzerella cheese. (grated or any)
  2. Veggies (any)

PROCEDURE:

  1. For kneading the dough, you need to activate the yeast first, so for that take half a cup of warm water add one tablespoon sugar and one tablespoon of yeast. Mix well and wait for the yeast to rise.
  2. Take 2 cups of maida, add two tablespoon oil, salt to taste and the yeast water. Knead well. Keep it aside for 2–3 hours. Cover the dough with cling foil.
  3. Add some oil and garlic to a pan. Grind the blanched tomatoes and add to the pan and let it cook for 5–7 mins on medium-high flame. Add tomato ketchup, salt to taste and seasonings according to taste.
  4. Roll the dough to a flat base, put the sauce on the base with a spoon add the veggies you like and cover it with some mozzerella cheese.
  5. Pre-heat the oven on 200 degrees for 10 min. Place the pizza on the oven tray and put it in the oven on 200 degrees for 10–15 min.
  6. Take it out and serve.
